From 9 to noon THIS FRIDAY, Feb 15 The Whole School welcomes preschoolers, their families or caregivers, to come and join our teacher, Rose Hodwitz, to explore colors and science together. Rose and the children will read Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett and Pink is for Boys by Robb Pearlman & Eda Kaban, learn how to make a lava lamp, experiment with walking water to make a rainbow, sing songs, and play games. There will be inside and outside play so remember to bring your warm, outdoor clothing.

The Whole School’s Blue Moon Coffee House event was a huge success! Thank you to our wonderful community for coming out for the fun. A special thank you to the following businesses for donating to our silent auction:
Doors open at 5:30. Dinner – $12 adults and $6 kids. Yummy desserts; amazing, holiday silent auction; kids craft table; and talented musicians round out a wonderful evening.
We have some wonderful local talent warming up the stage at the Vallican Whole Community Centre again this year – Jade Laminski, Alaska Hoskins, Tree Vor Mason (GoGoBonkers), Sean Cameron, Al Woodman, Gypsy Canoe, and the artist formerly known as Sage. Music starts at 6pm and will be going until 10. See you there!
The holiday season is upon us! Come and join in a lively, seasonal event – the Whole School Blue Moon Coffee House Fundraiser happening Saturday, Dec 8th 5:30-10:00pm at the Vallican Whole Community Centre! Music, Indian dinner, bake sale, silent auction, & kids crafts. Admission $3 (kids 12 and under free). Dinner $12/adult, $6/child.
Saturday, May 12th is the Whole School’s 21st annual Spring Market from 10-3pm. There is so much fun stuff going on – BBQ concession with burgers donated by Wayne Savinkoff’s Home of the Happy Cow and local pork donated by Blair Leaman’s Poet Pig Farm, delicious desserts made by Whole School families, garden plants, kids games with prizes, and fabulous local artisans and vendors – Soulumination Art Works, Freedom Creations woolens, Under the Boddhi Tree imported clothing, Stacie Lobreau’s wild craft products, and Wildfire Glassworks. Come and do your Mother’s Day shopping at the market!
