What better way to exemplify the Indigenous based Circle of Courage principles than by gathering in our tipi every morning.
Through the school year we start the day in the tipi where we do rounds of check-ins, personal sharing or reflections, and maybe some singing. Sitting in a circle with a fire simply fosters a sense of belonging and solidarity. It’s a special time and a way to bring mindfulness to the start of our day.
The Circle of Courage model reflects the values we hold important and provides the foundation of fundamental teachings and a way of being in community.
