Frog Mountain Student Art Show & Open House

All because of an amazing grant from ArtStarts and a wonderful morning of storytelling with Marilyn James, Sinixt Elder, the K-4 students of the Whole School in Winlaw planned a year of art in the theme of Frog Mountain. The goal was to create works of art that would be outside year round; an installation that would draw the students and their community for contemplation outside.

Peggy Frith and Emma Hunter from Good Pottery

The students’ art will be displayed on Thursday, April 18th at the opening from 2-4pm.  They will also be raising money through a bake sale for their annual generosity project.  At the show you can hear the story retold and then look for the places that the students brought the stories into their work while munching on yummy treats.
