Eli Geddis, teacher and adventurer, took the students out on their year-end outdoor wilderness adventure overnight at Evans Creek on the weekend! The trip incorporated all of the skills that the students learned in their Outdoor Leadership Program this year.
The students carried everything they needed to camp and practice skills of independence and leadership on their overnight adventure with Eli and the support of their parents and families.
For the weeks leading up to the trip, Eli has been teaching wilderness first aid, survival skills, packing a hiking bag, food preparation, and navigation by the stars. This year’s winter program, running club, biking, and hiking programs prepared the students for this 14 km return trip hike along beautiful Slocan Lake. Congratulations on a wonderful, successful wilderness adventure.
